It is understood that unanticipated events happen in the life of anyone. In the spirit of fairness for the therapist and other clients, the policies outlined below are honoured.
Patients are required to cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours prior to their appointment. This 24 hours requirement is independent of the time at which the courtesy email reminder may come in.
If a second appointment is cancelled within less than 24 hours, the patient will be charged 100% of the cost of the treatment. This amount must be paid in order to be able to book further appointments. Furthermore, a valid credit card will have to be on file to book future appointments.
If a third appointment is cancelled within less than 24 hours of their appointment, the patient will be charged 100% of the cost of the treatment. At that point, patients will have to prepay the full cost of their appointments.
If a client simply does not show up for their appointment, they will be charged for their missed appointment. This amount must be paid in order to be able to book further appointments. A valid credit card will have to be on file to book future appointments.
It is the responsibility of the patient to arrive on time for their appointment. The patient should take into consideration potential traffic or parking issues (although parking should not be an issue at this location).
The patient should keep in mind that they may need time to fill a health history or have an assessment performed in order to provide the therapeutic treatment. It is therefore advisable to arrive early for the appointment in such circumstances. In this context, if a client does not allow sufficient time to fill their health history, that time will be taken out of the treatment time.
Fees for late cancellation or no-shows cannot be billed through insurance. The patient is fully responsible for the cost. Receipts can be issued indicating “Missed Appointment”.
